In his spare time Ross enjoys riding horses as much as possible and he enjoys driving his race horses. He has trained a few saddle horses himself and quite a few chuckwagon horses. In the winter he uses a caboose to drive, and in the spring and summer a buggy.
Ross has been fortunate enough to win shows in Estevan, Killarney, Elkhorn, Weyburn, Spy Hill, Dauphin, Moosomin, St.Rose, Coronach, Wadena, Virden, and Towner, North Dakota. Ross has also won the MPCCA chariot year end 4 times and the waogons 2 times.
